Fashion Design Competition.
18 Fashion Designers. Six countries. One competition. After touring some of the most innovative, sustainable and creative factories of the Portuguese Textile Industry — Pedrosa & Rodrigues, RDD Design Centre, Riopele and Valérius Recycling Centre — these students from eight of the best Fashion Schools in Europe showcased the collections that speak not of tomorrow, but of today.

The seventh edition of the Fashion Design Competition ModaPortugal held in Alfândega do Porto brought together the Portuguese industry and 18 students from eight of the most renowned fashion design schools from six European countries: Finland (Aalto University), France (Institut Français de la Mode), Italy (Polimoda), Switzerland (HEAD Genève), United Kingdom (London College of Fashion), and Portugal (ESAD, FAUL, and Modatex).

At the end of the fashion show, the international jury — Eduarda Abbondanza (President), Tuomas Laitinen, Dan Thawley, Elisa Nalin, Miguel Flor, Philippe Pourhashemi and Tiffany Godoy — announced the best collection of each country and the Designer that took home the greatest award of all: to be the winner of the 7th edition of the MODAPORTUGAL Fashion Design Competition.

MODAPORTUGAL Fashion Design Competition is organised by CENIT – Portuguese Centre of Intelligence for the Textile Industry — and by ANIVEC – Portuguese Association for Clothing and Apparel Industries — with the support of Portugal 2020 and collaboration of MODALISBOA Association.
