Kids MODAPORTUGAL is an initiative led by CENIT to promote Portuguese fashion brands and industry dedicated to Kidswear, in international markets.
Portugal has a large number of manufacturers of children's clothing, that partner with the best international brands, but the industry is also increasingly producing for the brands that are designed in Portugal. In fact, most of the factories have their own kidswear brand.
This sub-sector reveals a very specific energy and dynamics, illustrated by the relevant number of brands designed and produced in Portugal, which actively participate in the best international children's fashion fairs, such as Pitti Bimbo, Playtime, FIMI, Children's Club and Indx Kidswear.
Kids MODAPORTUGAL is part of the umbrella brand MODAPORTUGAL, launched by CENIT (Portuguese Centre of Intelligence for the Textile Industry) in 2017, with the support of ANIVEC (Portuguese Association for Clothing and Apparel Industries). This action is part of the SIAC's “Global ModaPortugal 20/22” internationalization programme.
Together For The Future
Kids MODAPORTUGAL is represented by a group of eight brands that, together with CENIT, embraced the challenge to present the diversity of the Portuguese kidswear range of products, while at the same time raising awareness about the vitality of an entire sector that includes approximately fifty brands with strong international presence and recognition.
Under the sign of sustainability, these eight Portuguese brands — Baby Gi, Knot, Laranjinha, Play Up, Pureté, Snug, Wedoble and Wolf&Rita — represent a whole trend that is concerned with the positive impact that fashion can have on the environment, on people and on the economy and are protagonists of the campaign.
Together For The Future is the motto for the campaign's launch where the commitment to a safer and more sustainable future by Portuguese brands is affirmed. All communication was inspired on the theme of sustainability, future and union.
