Showcase ModaPortugal at Rue du Bourg Tibourg, Paris 2019.
Showcase ModaPortugal returned to Paris with an installation that brought together fashion, lifestyle and culture.
The event is not only a way to honour the creative and craftsmanship thinking that lives in Portugal’s DNA, but also an open door to dialogue, networking and fusion of experiences that give meaning to this world without borders. It is not a shopping spree, a stiff cocktail or even a show: this showcase is a window to a country that thrives on ancient techniques injected with fresh views and new perspectives and that prides itself for always having its doors open.

For three days, jewellery, accessories, designer brands and lifestyle objects will live inside an art installation to promote a culture of closeness to the public, to exchange thoughts and create new points of view, as well as eliminating the distance between concepts such as an art show, a fashion show, an exhibition, a cocktail, a meeting point. All of these ideas are now together under one roof to remind us that fashion is never just about clothing, or branding, or business, but about the connections that make the world move.

Showcase ModaPortugal is organised by CENIT (Portuguese Centre of Intelligence for the Textile Industry) and ANIVEC (Portuguese Association for Clothing and Apparel Industries), in association with APICCAPS (Portuguese Footwear, Components and Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association) and ModaLisboa and with partnership with AORP (Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association) and Portugal Fashion. This initiative is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, through the Portugal 2020 Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation.
