Barata Garcia, SA.

Fashion garment manufacturing
Barata Garcia was founded in 1991, marking the beginning of a journey defined by dedication, vision, and a continuous pursuit of excellence. Over three decades, the company has grown steadily within the textile sector — from design and product development to large-scale production. In 2016, it became a public limited company (SA), opening a new phase of growth. In 2018, it achieved SA 8000, reinforcing its commitment to ethical practices. In 2019, GOTS, OCS, and GRS certifications followed, strengthening its focus on sustainability. In 2023, RCS joined this path, confirming its dedication to circularity and recycled materials. In 2021, Barata Garcia received the Business Excellence Award – Export Award. Today, with around 180 employees, it continues to evolve — with hands, with heart, and with the determination to leave a meaningful mark on everything it creates.
