TMR was founded in 1997 by Margarida Máximo as a textile company specializing in clothing production. After achieving strong growth, the financial crisis brought significant challenges, but the company endured and reinvented its business model, shifting from working with large distribution agents to partnering directly with smaller, high-end brands. This strategic move led to international expansion and participation in renowned global trade shows, where TMR is now recognized as a key player. Guided by sustainability and social responsibility, the company has become a reference in Portugal’s textile industry, proudly holding GOTS, GRS, RWS, SMETA, and BCorp certifications. In 2022 and 2025, TMR’s excellence was further acknowledged with SME Leader and SME Excellence awards, as well as recognition as a COTEC Innovator, an honor granted to only 654 companies nationwide.
